Sorrento is perched on a dramatic line of steeply rising cliffs, overlooking the Bay of Naples, on a stretch of coastline of great beauty, on the northern slope of the Sorrentine Peninsula. The town is surrounded by orange and lemon groves and lush thickly wooded hills where vines and olives are grown. A deep gorge runs down to the port on the sea. The town has pretty pastel-coloured houses and several quaint small squares.

How To Reach Hotel Regina

By hydrofoil: a 30 minutes cruise trip from Molo Beverello Naples to Sorrento Marina Piccola.
By train: a 65 minutes' rail journey (approx.) from the Circumvesuviana station (Napoli-Centrale railway station, Piazza Garibaldi)
By car: aiong the "A3 Napoli-Salerno" motorway as far as the Castellammare di Stabia" exit and then aiong the A-road SS145 as far as Sorrento City.
By Plane:
The nearest airport to Sorrento, only 50 km far, is Capodichino, www.gesac.it . The airport is linked to the main Italian and European towns by different airlines that, often, propose interesting offers depending on the season of the year. From the airport there are different ways to get to Sorrento. The most comfortable and the cheapest as well, if available at your arrival time, is bus service by Curreri. The bus is just outside the arrival gate and takes you straight to Piazza Tasso, the main square of Sorrento and in good traffic condition it takes about one hour. From there you can follow on foot Corso Italia(on your right hand leaving Piazza Tasso behind you; then follow the above indications. Different solutions may be taxi or transfer services that the most agencies in Sorrento offer. From the airport there are also buses, taxi and shuttles to the Circumvesuviana railway station and from where you can catch the local trains to Sorrento every half hour or to Beverello port from where you catch the hydrofoils and ferries to Sorrento. We suggest you to use these last transports only if you don't find any better solution as they are little comfortable and tiring.
